Prompt Perspectives

Another collection of short/short stories, this time mainly from Tablo Publishing prompts, sometimes from photos and other sources with no word limits suggested. Yet another interesting and challenging call to my writing skills.

I’m liking these a lot – finding them an interesting way of presenting some of my ideas/experiences/imaginings.

(Prompt: The Hallway was Silent… )

The Hallway

(Prompt: taking a risk that doesn’t work out)

The Guilt Trip

(Prompt: unrequited love)

Getting married.1750x2750

(Prompt: Find a picture from when you were a toddler. Write about that moment from the perspective of your child self.)

I Say the Egg

(Prompt: A relationship is developing between two people, but they speak a different language)

cat burglar.1750x2750

(Prompt: Write a list of questions your main character has for someone they would like to interview) **Not quite what was requested, but it was the inspiration for this result.

Perchance to Dream.1750x2750

(Prompt: Go to a public place and watch people. Use their appearance, their habits, and their communication styles to inspire your novel’s characters.)

More Lassies

(Prompt: The world is made of glass. Yesterday morning cracks began to form)

SON of THOR

(Prompt: Imagine you’re someone’s shadow for a day. Who is it? What do you do?)

(Prompt One:  Find a photo and write what’s not in the picture)

(Prompt Two: Create a story inspired by the photo)

(What came first? Inspiration from the picture – or picture found to match the theme of waiting? Can’t really say. Perhaps you can decide.)

(Prompt word: ‘stalag’ from Writer’s Refuge writing forum)

(Picture Prompt – ‘write a story about the situation and what he is thinking’)

BREATHLESS in BLACKPOOL

(‘Prompt’ photo of unknown origin, identified only as  –
THE KERRY WAY WALKING PATH BETWEEN SNEEM AND KENMARE IN IRELAND)
