Maybe if I’d not raised nine kangaroos successfully years before?
Maybe then, the advice, ‘Hunt ’em down and shoot ’em dead’ could have been taken.
The beautiful creatures began making cosy ‘nests’ in our hay paddock, closed up for the season to grow tall. Several turns with their long, strong tail and a circle was flattened.
And the word was spreading. Each night brought a few more ‘sleepers’. A deterrent was desperately needed. And found.
A number of shots fired high into the air scared them away.
Importantly, no wildlife was harmed in the making of this deterrent!
