Collection of my 500 word flash-fiction stories to meet the lure of the Weekend Write-in prompt word in 2018.
[Proud to say I haven’t missed too many weeks this year, despite a few challenging situations]
Shhh! Scribbler at Work.
Maybe just a couple of my flasher titles’ names to intrigue you? And they’re linked too! Just click on them and see.
‘All You Need is Love’ [now there’s a love story with a difference]
‘Smoke Gets in Your Eyes’ [ooowha, sniff… that’s a sad one]
‘Somewhat Sheetless’ [now THAT’s the way we keep ’em, down on the farm!]
‘Out of the Frypan’ [the stuff legends are made of!], and just for laughs –
‘That’s the Spirit’ [well-ll, the prompt was ‘fun’ and this is what happened at my place – uhrr, in my head, actually]
Do you love the cover? Had it for all of this year and still love it as much as when I first saw it. I get my pics from freebie sites [that is, cost-free and free of copyright restrictions] – I have about 6 of these sites and go through them and suddenly something catches my fancy. Then comes the best part, when I go to work on them with my photo editing program and play with choice of font and size and placement of heading.
Here’s a favourite –
To tell the truth, this is not one of the stories… yet! I have a small child’s inspirational rhyme from the waiting room of a hospital behind this one. Its day will come. And it DID!!
LOOK! It’s in my Prompt Perspectives collection, and it’s called All you Need is Patience.
And that is why you get a cover pic with each and every ‘flasher’. Just love ’em.
