Last decade, before we moved back to our present farm in the country we love so dearly, I was a careworker for a few years. This story is about one of my most frustrating but loveable clients who showed me once again how the greatest courage demanded is often in facing each hour of every new day – and getting through it.
Author’s Note:
This was a short story written to be part of one of the three One Million Project anthologies, planned to be assembled and published in late February 2018. The short stories are being donated by their authors from all over the world to attempt to raise 1,000,000 English pounds for Cancer Research UK and EMMAUS UK Homeless Housing and support.
It is an honour to be one of the contributors and because I wanted my story to be its absolute best, I welcomed any and all comments, suggestions, corrections, tweaks – whatever. I am sincerely thankful to those who helped me – I listened and carefully considered all suggestions. The full story was on Wattpad in the hope of tempting a reader or two to join our efforts to help cancer research and homeless housing.
Now it’s part of the OMP Fiction anthology for sale on Amazon in both eBook and paperback issues. Please explore the page and see the other two genres available – OMP Fantasy and OMP Thriller.
In all there are 120 short stories – enough for a heap of reading – and absolutely perfect for filling in those countless ‘waiting’ moments.
So hope you’ll be reading a taste of – ‘A Bonny Wee Lassie’ on Wattpad
And please consider returning our gift of these donated stories by supporting the charities we care so much about.
Thank you,
