It’s SO tricky. I’m going through one year’s worth of 500 word stories created from prompt words – there was one challenge each week.
The plan is to tweak obvious errors/typos and improve my words where I can – but basically not rewrite. These are, after all, my writing skills of two years ago, not a reflection of where I am today (hopefully improved). And then maybe – just maybe – put them all together and self-publish them. Still a deal of work ahead.
I’m impressed to find they are standing the test of time really well. I’ve only rejected a couple, and these were because they were so ‘in-house’ – carrying themes that would truly only be understood by other authors on this particular writing platform at that time.
I’m replacing them on one of their homes Tablo Publishing, three at a time, weekly. Then I can decide if there is more pruning still to be done.
This week’s trio are all humorous – dealing with –
some unusual shopping habits – 20:20 Vision – A Little Hanky Panky,
an introduction to Heaven – On a Clear Day
and old nautical mates getting untidy, late at night – Sozzled Sailors Anonymous
I even had many chuckles over again as I edited and tweaked them.
